Granville Boys High School – Connecting with the Community

One of our team members goes to give back to the community that gave him his start!

‘To give back to the community’ – Berhan Kassem’s motivation having graduated from Granville Boys High School (GBHS) in 2009.

Berhan aged 25, graduated from Granville Boys High school in 2009 with a single motivation ‘to give back to the community’. Berhan was the GBHS school captain and took part in multiple community initiatives some of which raised in excess of $10,000 for charity. He was awarded the Young Australian of the Year for his respective region. He continued his tertiary education at the University of Sydney and studied Civil Engineering.

As a current Project Manager at Alliance Project Group, Berhan started with an internship at the company in his 3rd year of university.

He states, “Alliance Project Group has provided him with the professional growth needed to succeed in the construction industry and developed my strong interpersonal relations with professionals in multiple other trades.”

He has recently returned to GBHS with the determination to give back to the school that once provided a stepping stone to building his career.

He informed the students about his motivation and dedication to be successful and his aptitude to build his own career through hard work and commitment, qualities essential to the industry that Alliance Project Group has helped nurture and develop.
